Our Policies

Here at K&B Dance Company, we have certain rules and policies that all of our students & parents must agree to abide by when they become a part of our company. These policies ensure that everyone stays safe and our company remains a safe place for all our students.

Bullying Policy:

As a company, we have a No Bullying Policy. Bullying is no joke and we do take it very seriously. There will be zero tolerance for any of the following situations:

  • Teasing someone about their looks

  • Commenting on other students financial situations

  • Calling anyone a name or making nasty comments

  • Excluding other students from certain activities

  • Using any type of racial slurs towards or about another student

  • Using any inappropriate language towards another student or teacher

  • Harassing another student inside or outside company time

  • Belittling another student

  • Teasing another student for their sexuality, the way they dress, or their preferred pronouns

If any of these situations occur to you or someone else, you are required to make the owner aware of it.

Open-Door Policy:

We do want all our students to know and understand that we do have an open door policy that they can take advantage of at any given time. No topic that a student wants to discuss with us is off limits and it will be kept completely confidential unless action needs to be taken. We promise to always be there for our students and be whatever they need even if it's just someone to talk to.

Consequences for Breaking the Policy Agreement

If a student does not abide by our Bullying Policy or breaks one of our policy rules there will be consequences for that. Depending on how bad the situation is will depend on how we will chose to handle it. Please be advised that if these policies or rules are broken by a student, they may be put on probation for a period of time or they may be automatically expelled on the first offence depending on the severity. You have to remember that as a student with the company, you represent us. We will not be represented in a negative way by any of our students so please keep that in mind.

Social Media Rules:

First we want to make clear that none of your personal social media accounts and your activity on such accounts have anything to do with us as a company. However, if you decide to use your personal social media accounts to create posts about our company or involving our company we do ask that you tag our page in them. No parent, guardian or student will be permitted to bash us on social media or portray us in a negative light. Feel free however to leave a personal review about our company because that is based on your own personal opinion.

Our No Refund Policy:

At K&B Dance Company, we do have a no refund policy. No refunds will be given under any circumstances for registration fees, tuition, down payments, birthday parties or events, etc, no matter what the reasoning is including but not limited to:

  • Dissatisfaction

  • Cancellation

  • Inability to attend due to emergency, illness, injury, etc

  • Changing your mind

  • Any other reason that might be given

If you are not satisfied with your experience with us, we will work with you to the best of our abilities to fix the problem and make things right.

Inappropriate Behaviour:

Here at K&B Dance Company, we have a strict rule about inappropriate behaviour occurring in front of any of our students. No inappropriate behaviour from any parent or guardian will be tolerated but especially if it occurs in front of the kids. This behaviour includes but are not limited to the following:

  • Yelling at our teachers or the owner while students are present

  • Using course or inappropriate language at anytime

  • Making offensive remarks towards another person

  • Making racist or obscene remarks towards another person

  • Any other behaviour that the owner or teachers find offensive or inappropriate

In most cases, you will be given a warning or put on probation but in certain situations with a higher level of severity, you will be automatically suspended. Suspensions can be for a period of time or they can be permanent and can result in you and your child being band from the company.
